Co-Founder of Stand Up To Cancer, Award-Winning Producer of “The Butler,” “The United States vs Billie Holiday,” and “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.”
Pamela Oas Williams has built an acclaimed body of work across film, television, and philanthropy. Williams is a Co-Founder of Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) and an advisor to the creative production team at SU2C. Williams is the Executive Producer of SU2C’s biennial multi-network “roadblock” televised fundraising specials dating back to 2010. She also wrote and produced SU2C’s “Change the Odds” public service announcement.
Williams produced the multi-award-nominated feature films Lee Daniels’ The Butler and The United States vs Billie Holiday. Williams partnered with Laura Ziskin in 2001 overseeing a slate of film and television projects, including the 74th and 79th Academy Awards and the three-part Ken Burns series based on the Pulitzer Prize winning book CANCER: THE EMPEROR OF ALL MALADIES. Prior to partnering with Laura, Williams ran George Clooney’s television company, Maysville Television, and was a producer on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
When Laura Ziskin was diagnosed with cancer in 2004, Williams worked with her to launch Stand Up To Cancer and to initiate a rallying cry to unite all those affected by cancer to demand an answer to the disease. She will continue to carry on Laura’s vision until the day when cancer is no more.
