Chris Morgan is a South African filmmaker. He began his career making documentaries for the BBC before moving to Nigeria in the early 2000s to work on HIV & Aids awareness media campaigns.
In 2011 he relocated to Tanzania where he founded Fundi Films and began a long-term collaboration with Discovery to produce entertaining and educational films for young people across Africa. Fundi Films uses a mix of live action, documentary, and animation to tell unique African stories. Chris was the series producer and director of “My Better World”, a 55-episode TV series that won the 2022 International Emmy Award for Kids: Factual & Entertainment. The series was produced by a team of 100 creatives across 7 African countries.
Since 2015 Chris has also been working for the World Bank as a communications specialist, with a focus on rapid urbanization, and the ability of the media to educate and prepare young people for a changing climate.
