Brett Rapkin is an innovative Emmy Award-winning Writer/Producer/Director who was named a “Media Trendsetter” along with NBA stars Chris Paul and LeBron James by Sports Business Journal because of his focus on impact-driven sports projects.
As Founder/CEO of Podium Pictures, Brett has created a deep track record over the past twenty years in successfully developing, producing, distributing, and promoting premium content with partners ranging from HBO to The Los Angeles Dodgers. Podium is focused on being the global leader in social impact sports through the power of athletes and storytelling. Brett spent six months traveling the European Alps with Bode Miller and the US Ski Team for a television series called “Bode On the Bus,” one of the first access-driven athlete projects. Other clients and partners have included NFL, ESPN, Showtime, Red Bull, GMC, and many more.
Podium’s 2020 HBO Sports documentary “The Weight of Gold,” produced in partnership with Olympic legend Michael Phelps, was nominated for a Sports Emmy, created billions of anti-stigma impressions across media platforms and helped usher in institutional change in how the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee addresses mental health for its athletes. He is a father of two young children and holds a Masters Degree in Spiritual Psychology.
