A two-time Emmy-nominated producer with over 20 years of production and television experience, Alicia Katz has rapidly earned the status of a national leader in Corporate Social Responsibility for the world’s largest entertainment and media company. She formerly led corporate social responsibility for the television and streaming content brands at Disney Entertainment, which include ABC, Disney Branded Television, Freeform, FX, Hulu Originals, National Geographic Content, and the ABC Owned Television Stations. She is an accomplished CSR executive specializing in global philanthropy with an impeccable track record of results in groundbreaking, socially impactful concept development and communication.
Alicia developed and led the corporate social responsibility strategy and oversight of prosocial initiatives to create opportunities and build brand awareness. Katz also managed and supported the cause marketing strategy, communication and execution of prosocial campaigns and content integration, while cultivating and maintaining relationships with nonprofit partners locally and nationally. She worked closely and collaborated with The Walt Disney Company Enterprise Social Responsibility team, DEI, Corporate Communications, Marketing and Government Relations as well as CSR partners within the segments at ESPN, Disney Studio, and Parks and Experiences.
During Alicia’s career, she’s been recognized for her talent for leading strategic, long-range business and fiscal planning and seamlessly executing national marketing campaigns spanning all major social media platforms. She’s able to empower diverse and dedicated professionals and coordinate high-profile promotional events.
Currently, Alicia has taken on a consulting role on a campaign she co-founded and developed called The Choose Kindness Project, which is an alliance of the nation’s leading nonprofit organizations that champion three major issue areas affecting children and teens: bullying prevention, intentional inclusion and youth mental wellness. Guided by the 20+ members of the alliance and supported by the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), The Choose Kindness Project is dedicated to inspiring a more inclusive world where all young people feel empowered to be themselves and feel safe to create the futures they imagine.
Katz holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Southern California.
